Converted my wheels on the Arkose X to tubeless yesterday, then thought I'd tinker with the indexing (new bike so bit of cable stretch i thought). Now can't get it to stay in largest cog (42t). Limit screws and b adjustment all seem good, and have undone and re-anchored the cable numerous times but can't seem to get sufficient tension to get it to shift 1st click from 11t up. Bigger lever sweeps will move the chain over up to the penultimate cog. Anyone solved a similar issue on their Sram 1x set up? In hindsight was shifting pretty well before I started faffing. Has an inline cable adjuster from the shifter as well as the RD barrel adjuster.

Either your cable is sticking somewhere or the set up is totally wrong.

Undo the cable and get the 11t limit set properly, wind the adjuster all the way in and back off a full turn to allow for fine tuning, then pull the cable tight and connect it to the mech. Click the shifter to the next position and then adjust the barrel until it shifts easily, then should then be it.

Check the low limit screw once you get the chain up there and adjust to suit.

When I first set up mine, I managed to route the inner cable incorretly at the rear mech pinch bolt. I rode it for a few weeks with slight niggles with the rear shifting before twigging 🙂

Was just going to echo Spooky; make sure that the cable to pinch bolt routing is 100% correct.

DAMHIK!

Another pinch bolt victim here. Also the rival 1 derailleur seems to be very sensitive to B screw adjustments.

Thanks for all the tips. I think the cable routing was correct, but think i'd played around with the barrel and inline adjusters too much to be able to get to the normal starting point. LBS was quieter than expected Sat morning so they fixed for me (embarrassed face)
