So torn between two 12 speed options.

Firstly I'm coming from Shimano 10 speed, so on a Shimano freewheel.

Would you go for 12 speed NX Shifter/Mech/Cassette or the Sunrace 12speed cassette with GX shifter and Mech?

Pretty sure the Sunrace is Shimano rather than XD.

Think 11-50 on both cassettes.

I would go GX shifter, Sunrace cassette & whichever rear derailleur you could afford from leftover funds NX or GX but spend bit more on the shifter hence GX.

So reckon it's the shifter where the difference between NX and GX is biggest?

i'm running 11 nx shifter and mech, and sunrace as thats what came on my bike.

if i break the mech, i;m going to get a gx mech and gx shifter (i've heard the x01 shifter is very good but for 11sp its 3 times the cost of a gx one).

with 12.. i'd go "Sunrace 12speed cassette with GX shifter and Mech?"

you're probably right about the nx/sunrace cassettes being shimano driver rather than xd.

I'd go Sunrace cassette, GX shifter and NX mech.
Out of all of them the most likely to get damaged is the Mech.
