Is it possible to change the GXP BB and Cranks on my Scott Spark, to enable a 4iiii MTB PM? And, how?

The alternative is just to buy a stages L G30 crank to bang onto the existing SRAM crankset at £455.

The issue is cost (probably not much in it once the 4iiii and XT cranks are bought) vs the reliability of the 4iiii

Yes, it should be possible.. you will need to change the BB to a Hollowtech compatible one. My old Scale was press-fit BB92 - if your Spark is the same (year?) you probably need something like an MT500 / MT800 BB92 unit.

Other things to bear in mind are that the Q-factor may differ (you need to make sure you have clearance for the 4iiii pod), and the Boost (or not) spacing of the chainring is determined by the crank rather than chainring on Shimano.

Thanks - its a 2018 Spark and is boost. with a crankset to buy as well its looking as though I may as well just buy the Stages TBH, I've no other reason to change to Shimano and at least I'd know the pod clearance is OK.
