Was out for lunch exercise with my lad and when he pulled the front brake it came back to the bars and won't return. Looking it seems like the spring inside the lever is broken ?

I can't see any way to sort it, there's a pivot pin but that seems press fitted in ?

Anyone seen or had this?

I've fitted the one from my G-160 to his bike as they're the same, but it does mean my G-160 is now without a front brake LOL.

Sticky piston...it is a known issue with them. If under 2 years old and original owner they'll be warranted.

Piston in the lever...the one going into the reservoir...the seals swell and prevent a solid return.

If it's the old style calliper without the bleeding edge port then very likely the lever will be the older design with sticky piston.

However this is usually only happens in hot weather. Symptom is similar. Bites and then won't return.

If it is though you can get warranty replacement with some delay, or get a replacement fixed piston off eBay.
