Anyone running the new SRAM G2 brakes?

Wondering what people think of them...

Cheers,

Rich

I have fitted a set. They replaced a mish mash of xt levers and saint calipers.
The lever pull is heavier on the g2.
The initial bite isn’t as abrupt. They have nicer modulation.
The lever design is chunky. I prefer the shimano lever.
I can’t say I noticed a difference in ultimate power. Both will lock your wheel if you try.
I payed €240 for a pair. I consider it to be good value.

I have some G2 ultimates on some Code calipers, which pending long term reliability, are the best brakes i've used.

Got some older Guide Ultimates on Guide RE (old Code) calipers which were my previous fav, but find the newer setup has a bit more progression & outright power.

Have ridden a couple of G2 ultimate full setups & they feel really good too, obviously less power than my setup, but still really good.

I just picked up some Code RSC's, I dont think they got a G2 redesign. I had Guide RS's before, jesus christ the Code RSC's are better! I didnt think the Guides were that bad till I fitted the Codes! Paid £320in my LBS how price matched online.
