I’m looking into fitting a Eagle GX groupset to a 135mm rear hub. I’ve read that the 50t won’t touch the spokes but the cassette might cause the chain to bind with the stay in the 10t, I currently have 3mm clearance with a 11-36 shimano cassette, will the Xd driver and 12 speed push the 10t further over to the drive side and reduce that?

Thanks

It still mounts on an XD driver so it should sit in the same place- that shouldn't change regardless of 135 qr, 135 bolt thru, 142 etc. If it doesn't then the problem could be with your frame in particular?

Ive recently fitted gx eagle to my bossnut which has 135mm QR rear. Currently I have no clearance at all with the 10t cog and the only solution I have is to have a new longer end cap machined to provider the clearance. Kind of wish I hadn't started doing the upgrade now.

No problems with Eagle on a 135mm qr dropout carbon Focus Raven.

Just out of interest, what hub are you running?

Some Planet X El Guapo thing. Think it’s Novatec.

I would say it's pretty bike specific, with some frames being fine and others having clearance issues.

Probably only one way to find out 100%....

Did you get the eagle set up on your bossnut? Just found your thread after having issues with mine

I’ve got an eagle group set to fit to my ff29 should be Fridays job, will report back how it goes. The cassette is on the wheel and it looks like it’s got clearance but I’ve not put chain and mech on yet.
