I need a normal (non-wide) dub bottom bracket for a 68mm road bike. the sram chart here

shows different part numbers for the 68mm and the 73mm/wide version. I don't know if the spacer inside is different, but I guess it might be.

On old shimano BBs, it didn't matter if. the spacer was too long, it just kept pushing into the other drive shell (so you could fit wider bbs onto a narrower frame, within reason). Does anyone know if this is the case for DUB? I'm struggling to find stock of the 68mm version to buy

I don't think so, I think the internal spacer is different.

turns out I was mis-reading the chart - the part numbers for press-fit are different but for threaded they're both the same (00.6418.015.000) - road wide on a 68mm shell has a different part number which I guess is for the extra spacer - it must be that the spacer works on both shell widths
