A familiar feeling, pulling the shiny new component out of its box and offering it up to the freshly cleaned bit of bike -- and it doesn't fit. Latest repeat was this afternoon with the new 33T middle ring for my 2011 stumpy. Advertised as being "SRAM x10" compatible and 104 BCD but is nowhere near getting onto the spider.

*Sigh*

Looking around, I see the genuine 33T ring for my S-1250 GXP SRAM/Truvativ chainset are running at £50 or over, cheapest from Germany

Any suggestions for something that will do the job very welcome indeed...

Had the same problem with a X0 triple I used to run. £60 for a middle ring ffs!

Ended up getting a full set of rings barely used from eBay for £20 posted. Maybe I got lucky with timings but keep an eye out there and on Pinkbike. Never did find any alternatives and ended up swapping it for a double the next time it went. Again £20 for new rings off Pinkbike.

Good idea, will look around but the old one is goosed so really need to buy something soon. Considered a complete change to shimano a while back, should have gone for it!
