Following a mech ripped out and broken hanger incident, I reluctantly need to replace my very-worn indeed transmission on my Solaris. It's been ages since I've done this so just wanted to ask......it's all Shimano (2x10), but can I use a SRAM 10 speed chain with it? Will it change across the chainrings OK? It makes it easier for me using the Powerlink.
I was hoping to get away with the same cable but it's frayed down to nothing so even that may have to be done - one of my all-time least favourite jobs!
Thanks
I've always used SRAM chains on Shimano gears. I've had no problems so far.
Great - thanks. Really good to know.
I've always used SRAM chains too as I prefer the power link connector over the shimano black pin method.
Yes you can.
I prefer KMC chains though.
Yes, and get KMC instead as they're more durable.
Cheers all
