I'm trying to get my hands on one of these. Purchased the pro bleed kit and now found that one of my bikes has the different bleed system. Was nearly tipping over the bleed edge last night trying to figure out what was going on. £38 on a pro kit now have to shell out another £20 for the adaptor but can't seem to find anywhere on line that has one.

Here lists it as in stock.. I'd ring and ask though - Raleigh (distributor) are listing it as out of stock until 8th May.

I was in the same boat. Ordered the bleed kit from Tredz. Says that the bleeding edge tool is included in the description.

http://www.tredz.co.uk/.SRAM-Pro-Brake-Bleed-Kit_96693.htm?gclid=Cj0KEQjwiI3HBRDv0q_qhqXZ-N4BEiQAOTiCHj4x6MFwMeTTruoYJEswGUO0UrqvRstvJ7jYxdigLe8aArPU8P8HAQ

At least I hope that's right anyway.

Thanks for the kind offer, maybe to OP could take you up on it?

I've got a full kit on the way, so I'll see what turns up in it.

OK ta just checking cos I need to bleed my Guide brakes (RS I think - came on a CF Capra from around 18months ago) and I was assuming I could use the regular Avid bleed kit. Am I correct? 🙂

Yeah would say so if there that old bleed screw should be directly oposite of the banjo bolt.

you can bleed them just fine without it, takes all of about 20 seconds.

remove pads
pop in a shimano bleed block
manipulate the bike so the calipers bleed port is the highest point or remove if front or not internal.
pop a syringe into the lever bleed port
remove the rubber bung in the bleeding edge port
use a 4mm allen key to open the port
push through brake fluid
close bleeding edge port with 4mm allen key
remove syringe from lever
clean up the caliper
refit pads and hey presto.
prep time may be a bit longer than 20 seconds but the actual bleed is 20 seconds if that.
