Trying to charge an old battery that hasn’t been touched in a good while. Blue light is solid on the charger but no red/amber/green lights. Could it be so flat that it’s going to take a trickle charge until it registers a colour?
Any advice would be great.
Thanks Chris

Basically that but it may be beyond resuscitation…
Which is a timely reminder to top up my spares before they suffer the same fate… Thanks 🙂
Thanks. I’m guessing an overnight charge should be enough if it’s going to bring it back to life. Sensitive souls these batteries it seems
Is the charging cable in a single socket or a multi-plug socket? If a multi-plug, change it for a single and if the battery can take a charge it will.
When I've had this its usually because the charger and battery connections are dirty or oxidised. A quick wipe clean for the contacts usually gets it to work. If it was a faulty battery the light should go red I'd have thought to show a fault.
I had a battery that refused to charge in a particular charger. Chucked it in a different one and it filled up fine, has subsequently worked with the original charger.
thanks all. Will try a different socket/plug tomorrow. If that fails I’ll be needing to find someone in Redditch with AXS!
It's dead, that's what happens
Hi,
If still no joy I may be able to help and re-cell it for you.
Never done one of these and will be dependant on me being able to safely open it and the cells inside are standard types ie 18650 cell. I may also be able to up the capacity (run time) depending on what is fitted.
Still nothing happening so assume it’s toast! @smudge I’ll drop you a message thank you.
Contacts may need de-glazing. Get hold of a battery contact cleaning 'pen' thing?
