will a sram attack front gripshift work with a 9 spd shimano rear mech?
I seem to recall that it will.
it has 8 clicks, so in theory it should.

Apparently the indexing on a front Sram attack shifter is the same as the rear so it should work.

SRAM front shifters work with SRAM or Shimano front mechs and vice versa.

SRAM rear shifters with a name (like Attack), not a number (like X7), work with Shimano rear mechs.

Shimano rear shifters don't work with SRAM rear mechs.

Ive had a pair attacks for years. Just the job (though slidey window indicator gave up years ago)
If you number of gears is right send it in.

FWIW, I used an 8 speed rear mech shifter for a front mech for a while. Was quite good actually as you could adjust that annoying rubbing on the front mech out. Was a thumbie though, so fitted fine under the bars. I conceed, if i had my mech set up properly it wouldnt have rubbed anyway
