Picked up some cheap rival shifters and an apex 1 rear mech but am planning to use the rear mech on a double set up. Anyone using the apex 1/rival 1 etc on a double set up? I can't really see why it wouldn't work but am I missing anything?

I'd be interested to know, I was tempted by the Rival1 mechs at Ribble as I'd like to at least run an 11-36 on my 2x gravel/cross bike.

Following as id like to know also as was tempted to try a rival 1 11sp on my rival 22 set up for a bigger cassette
Suppose I could also swap the 50/34 chainset for a 30/46 grx I think sram and shimano 11 speed would work together

Apparently it’s a no. In the same boat as the rest but the 1x specific don’t parallel enough from memory. Basically the indexing/chainline gets squiffy when used 2x from what I could understand.
I’ve gone for a gx 2x10 rear dr to try.
Force wifli rear derailleur will cope with 11-36 cassette and 2x.

If anyone wants a BNIB Rival 22 rear mech (med cage), for not very much money, let me know. I bought one as a spare a couple of years ago for my 2x11 set up, but then went 1x, so this has been unused.
