Quick question for anyone who may have done this at some point. My daughters fork on her Orbea MX24 is playing up so I was looking to strip and clean it but before i do so has anyone got any information on the fork? I've found a drawing on their website but couldn't see anything about grades or volumes of oil that may be required and I'd rather just lock the fork out so that the bikes still usable rather than me look like a **** with the fork in bits and the wrong stuff to build it back up with.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure it is the same, but look on YouTube, RJ TheBike Guy did one recently. It may be that the are just greased, rather than requiring oil.

Good luck.

Out of interest is the fork any good? I've been looking at that bike for my daughter, but I'm not convinced the extra weight is worth the performance of a fork that cheap?

Cheers Binman my skills at searching today have obviously been crap!

As for how good they are .... she likes them but thats maybe because they are forks that move! To be honest before them playing up this last while they seem to have been pretty good but the bike comes with 2.1"? tyres so they soak up quite a lot. My daughters coming on 12 but tiny, 3 1/2 stone maybe? maybe less so only need something like 40-50psi in the forks which is only a couple of strokes on the pump and they do move when shes on it but as to whether they are worth it? I'm not convinced for her as shes so light.

My daughter had some on her Orbea. They went funny just inside the 12 month warranty so we got some new ones. They’ve done 2 years riding with no bother.

I didn’t find much online when I was looking to fix the first ones.

We got the pressure just right for my daughter and she loved them. Definitely let her go faster downhill and she didn’t complain of sore hands when we did full days in Morzine.
