So after fitting some new SLX brakes and Ice Rotors the rear seems to have developed a squeak towards the end of travel, assuming that's when it biting hardest to stop.
Tried different pads which seems to solved it for a little while but its back and driving me nuts!!!
Anyone got any solutions?
Any sign of contamination on the pads? Could be a small leak at the piston.
It did it more or less out of the box just strange from being new, tried 2 sets of pads and its done it with both. They are sintered. I could try some normal pads in there and see what happens?!
That would be my next move - try some Shimano resin pads. I find them pretty long-lasting, and stop well, a good halfway house between sintered and organic.
I do try to bed them in properly, though, whether that actually helps or is just myth.
Resin pads seemed to have fixed it, odd
