I have a couple of coloured spokes that i need to change to black.

Dont want the hassle of removing and replacing them, so was going to spray paint them, but wondered whether to strip the paint off them first or just spray them as is?

It'll be a lot easier, faster and more effective (and probably cheaper) to just replace them.

The paint won't last either way

You could just put some stickers on them.

Aye, i think you're right...i'll just replace them. It just means replacing the tubeless tape which i find can be royal pain the arse, especially as they are working brilliantly at the moment.

Cheers

Balls! Mask up mate and hammerite black. Lasts for ages (so long as you degrease spokes). Did mine a year ago (silver) and still looking as good the day I did them.

Is it the spokes or the nipple you want to replace? No need to take the rim tape off just to change the spokes if you use the same nipples.
