Hello,
Looking for new bars for my TT bike.
I quite fancy a slightly higher position, yes less aero, but I reckon being 3-4" higher up shuld get me more power, I'm just not comfy at present.
Anyway, looking at these three

I am however, a wee bit dubious of cheap Chinese carbon. These bars are slightly different visually, but would they all come out of the same factory somewhere? Do I gain much by spending another £100 on the pricier PDQ ones (for a brand I'd still never heard of before?) Anyone used any of these? TBF I have a Planet X road frame and it's been fine, wee bit heavy for a carbon road frame but fine considering what I paid for it.
.
Zipp and Aerocoach both do some really nice ones which are very similar, I have Zipp wheels and really like them so would ideally go for the Zipps but can't justify, or even afford, £1k for a set of bars. (anyone got some second hand Vukas for sale?)
WWSTW do?
Cheers,
Andy
I have the pdq ones - they're solid, you see plenty of testers using them.
I doubt they're better than others from the same factory, but Ian Cammish is a Named Man in the testing game - assume he knows the right factory.
Thanks Garry.
How long have you had yours? Just checking if 'solid' is tried and tested or merely first impressions?
The pdq and selcof bars are identical. They're just identical Chinese bulk branded imports.
I've had all 3. They even fit eachothers risers.
Find Jason swan on FB or tt forums for angled adapters if you want a fast hands position.
