Don’t get a multi sized spoke key, in my experience they’re shite.

I swear by a spoke driver & a good old spokey dokey for wheel building.

yep, but its still a great thing to have when you get a random wheel to fix thats a funny size

but only after you've got a red spokey as above of course

Good choice - Spokey Pro is the obvious answer. I'll just note that what's in the pic there isn't a Pro - the Pro version has double depth jaws (the non-pro version can damage nipples as the area of engagement is quite small). It says pro in the ad, so just be sure that what you get has the double depth.

this is the correct picture but the JE James description is correct for the pro.

Spokey for me.

Then a spoke spanner possibly ice tools for final tweeking. Way nicer when the tension gets high.

Red spokey for me.

I've got a many sided one in case of weird stuff but as above, they're rubbish.  It's the same level of crap tool as imagining that an adjustable spanner will replace a roll of quality combis - with the same results - damaged and rounded heads  / nipples adorning every job.

I made my own nipple driver using the guide in the musson book and a £1.99 screwdriver from the Range and a blow torch to both heat the blade/shaft for forming and to melt it out of the handle to make it nice and spinny.

Couldnt find the spokey keys so ended up with the Park ones.

As above re: spokey, but I'm a bit lazy so I use an electric drill driver instead of the nipple driver. It's a bit of a cheeky short cut and you risk rounding off the head but definitely quicker..
