sorry for yet another zwift thread.
on the back of the other current zwift thread i'm wondering about the opinions of those with experience of both spin classes and zwift training on a smart trainer. this is before i take the plunge on a smart trainer.
i used to enjoy instructor led spin classes but a change of gym to somewhere closer means i can only use their virtual les mills spin classes. these are not as good as a real class as no in person instructor and are barely attended so it's hard to feed off the group energy. on the other hand being virtual there are classes all the time.
so i'm wondering if i would be more engaged with zwift and the performance metrics.
any experiences?
I've done a few "RPM" classes at virgin and tried a "Soul Cycle" class in NYC.
I prefer Zwift to be honest, particularly as I like recording/monitoring what I have done.
Don't get me wrong the spinning classes are brutal and good fun (particularly the soul cycle), but there's something about racing virtual people.
