Chris, I'd be happy to volunteer to be a guinea pig to test that mad light at Mayhem! It would be fantastic alongside my Lib3 !!!!!

Probably too late for crissy pressies before any available
still need some fine tuning of the secondary optic the one that is supposed to give some near to the bike light .

and it also needs a bit of a diet .

Steve will use any 14.8 volt or larger battery

Cheers Flashy any idea where its going next .

So Chris how does the spec of the production light compare to the bonkers prototype that's still touring the uk?

What's the little light at the bottom? reading light or something, roughly how many lumen?.

Chris, I asked you on Sunday, but can't recall your reply. Do these type of lights need a regular airflow, like on a bike?. I'm thinking in terms of whether it could also be used for camping light/walking/climbing/dog walking?.

Could the little light run off a small battery (2.2ah) in some sort of headtorch strap arrangement. A bit like this (minus the helmet).

B.A.Nana

The bottom is a flood to fill in near the bike as the two eyes send a narrow beam into the distance with no spill .you can annoy your mates from 300 metres behind .

theoretical output 3000 lumens

but actual maybe 2000 Chris Wilks has measured the one thats on tour and lumens for that one is about 1300 but its not the ammount of lumens its how they are used .

All very impressive trout, but when am i going to see full production of the all singing all dancing helmet light as featured on here back in the summer, as modelled by me.

I'll be more than happy to Trial and promote them across the SW and wherever else i wander.
I find myself without any lights this winter, so would love to adorn my helmet with one of your offerings. Even if is does look a little daft 😉

when I measured the spidy eyes 1 I may have lost a bit of light from the bottom LED's as I was concentrating on collecting all the light from the 2 main eyes into the integrating sphere.
The port size on the sphere I was using was a little small.

I can use a bigger port to make sure that all the light is collected, but the calibration is much harder and less accurate.

The luminous paint that causes the green rings will also absorb some light, although I don't expect that to be a big effect.

Happy to try again for spidy 2 if you like.

sharki - I'll gladly measure your prototype too, although I think I can accurately predict the result 🙂

...oh forgot to say that sharki's picture is inspired, I think. I bet it's going to start a trend? 'Show me your wild-life Headcandy'.

PS: is that a bull-head?

cr500dom, is there a pic of the 1/2 spidy proto? I might fancy trying that specifically for a headtorch (I live near Chris so could pass it on afterwards).
