Guys, I'm off to morzine tomorrow.

I've stuck with my existing set up of specialized tyres, hillbilly up front with a butcher out back.
I've been really pleased with specialized tyres, but will the hillbilly be cr*p in the current morzine/les gets conditions?
I wish to stay with specialized
Cheers guys.

If it rains there are no tyres that are suitable. If it is dry pretty much anything will do. FWIW I'm out there soon again and will be using Conti Barons and my wife will be using Vert Pros.

I can’t imagine a situation where a Hillbilly up front wouldn’t work. It would be less than ideal on slippery rock or absolute hardpack dirt, but as it’s halfway between a cut spike and an intermediate tyre it’s never bad. It’s got enough knob stability to handle high g turns, is sticky enough and has enough knobs to not slide when it can’t dig in and as soon as the ground is soft or loose it’s brilliant.

Hill Billy will be fine

If it rains there are no tyres that are suitable.

Apart from mud tyres, which work perfectly

my wife will be using Vert Pros.

Don’t really like her I assume?
