My Specialized Rekon 3 shoes have a very thin layer of thermafoil under the insoles that acts like a double sided tape to hold them in place as well as insulation. I had to take the insoles out to dry the shoes and the foil tore a lot and had to be picked out bit by bit. The insoles are fine and not damaged at all.
Anyone know where I can buy replacement thermal foil thats thin enough to use? Or just use kitchen foil? Or just not bother? It did seem a bit silly to have the insoles stuck in.
