Looking to take the front derailleur off my Camber but apparently I need to have a spacer or washer to take its place in the linkage (I bought the bike second hand and it didn't come with any accessories) - are these things easily obtainable? Are they "standard" parts that my LBS should be able to get hold of (he's a Giant dealer not specialized)

I know the bit you mean. Sadly you will need to find a Specialized dealer to order one (Spec are pretty good at keeping spares). You should be able to do it over the phone if you your LBS can't help.
