I have a pair of specialized mtb shoes that suit my deformed foot.
just wondering if all models use the same last.
the new rimes look ideal for me.
No they don't, 2fo cliplite is smaller than 2fo clip, and I believe the xc shoes are smaller still.
Not entirely sure. I got a pair of cadet shoes (the £15 ones from rutland in the sale) and they're very room around the forefoot. They also come with the 'flat' BG footbed whereas most come with the medium one (which is still useless to me as I've high arches).
I've had spesh shoes in the past which fitted perfectly, and others which didn't fit at all so they've definately changed their last between models and over time.
Ive had spesh BG comps since early 2000s and most recently a pair of spesh Rimes.
All the BG comp models appeared to be v similar, the Rime comes up a tad narrower but not by much.
mine are the new bg comps. so comfy I leave em on all day. came with the green high volume footbed.
the green super feet insoles are fitted now. slipper comfy, the rimes don't look as special.
I use the spesh footbeds in all my shoes, theyre fantastic.
I got the rimes as they were on discount at the Bristol Spesh store. They're good shoes, and the boa is a great device.
Add to that I used to wear 45s now wearing 46s. Maybe their lasts have changed, maybe some shoes are more flexible, maybe my feet have spread.
