Reviews seem pretty positive. I have a DHR2 fitted but always takes spare rear tyre just incase.
Any reason not to??
I used  a butcher and slaughter grid in finale, they were fine no issues with punctures etc, so id say a purgatory grid will be fine also
Really wet and thunderstorms in the region for the next couple of weeks at least, I use a hillbilly for the front. Plenty of rocks about so something stronger like a dd maxxis on the back...
Cheers all 🙂
Depends where and how your ride, but be aware that the Purgatory Grid has a significantly lighter and thinner casing than the Butcher Grid and Slaughter Grid, which themselves are a little tougher than a Minion EXO.
Between us we run a Butcher, a Purgatory and a Slaughter when we have been there and will do again later this year. The new Gripton compound grid sidewalls are not as robust as the older ones. Looks like they have been thinned out a bit to save on weight. Our daughter has ripped two sidewalls on the Gripton versions.
I have a slaughter grid on another bike i might just pinch if you all reckon its robust enough. I have a DHR2 EXO fitted currently so will only need a backup if i destroy this one. I am actually pretty easy on rear tyres but as its my first trip to Finale i think its worth checking. 🙂
Hey nasher, thanks for the weather update. Waterproofs will be packed 😀
