Or fenders, if you're 'Merican.

Short version: watch out, stays can come loose.

Long version: Finally got round to buying some Specialized mudguards for my 2016 Diverge. Fitting was a faff, instructions poor, but they looked quite smart and I really wanted them to work, being specifically designed for the frame (and having no other option but to use these or bodge standard ones).

Anyway, was just riding along (honest) and one of the front stays came loose. The grub screws holding the stays in were really tightened on fitting, in fact the grub screw holding the now loose stay was still tight. Not wanting to have a spoke/ stay interface whilst riding, I took it off mid ride. Prior to this the front guard did vibrate quite a lot when riding, so maybe this had contributed.

Good idea poor execution I feel. Anyone else had this? I'm going to use some mucky nutz plastic guards instead for now.

Edit: no real point to this, just a bit miffed.
