Clearing out kids old bikes. Got a couple of Specialized Myka's, 15inch, about 10 years old. Good nick. Both have upgraded forks (Fox / Bombers), new chain and cassettes, serviced. 3 x 8 gearing (SRAM X4 I think), 26 inch wheels, cable discs, few other upgrades from parts bin here and there

any ideas what they may be worth approx.?

thanks

Check sold prices on eBay, but I think you might get £250 or more with a detailed description and loads of pics on there.

On the flip side, we are still in lockdown, bike shops still have limited stock and spring is well on the way.
£175 would be a good price for a 2nd hand kids bike I’d say.

And they are suitable for small adults.

My wife has one.

I think you'd be good for £200 each, possibly even £250 as an initial price.
There's just not much availability around and people are going to be even more keen to buy once we have a couple of sunny weekends. I'd have been interested for my daughter but I've just managed to catch a Boardman bike in a small window of availability (although they downgraded from the advertised spec and then upped the price)

Have a quick look on Facebook Marketplace. It's awash with the bikes bought last March and April that have never been used, some going for half the list price.

I'm just getting my daughters Myka out for its first jaunt this year 😀

My wife has one and still rides it. She really likes it.  They're a good bike for general MTB, easyish XC stuff

The forks will be worth a few quid if they're in good condition.

I sold my wife's pretty much as new Myka last summer, I think we got £220+ in the end.

Right time to sell with the bike shortage and everyone getting into cycling.

thanks - about what I thought. Stuck first one on eBay at £225, had an offer at £130 within 1/2 hour

yes - decent bikes. Did our daughters from about age 10 to adult - they are about 5'5"

Probably £100-150 max. I think that you (and me) missed the boat and should have had your clear out in May/June when people were buying and selling for silly money.
Probably advertise for £125-150 and get ‘haggled’ down about £25.

Or sit on it all until April/May this year and try again.

Good luck.
