Came off last weekend and smashed my helmet up a bit (Specialized Tactic II)

Anyone know their latest Crash replacement policy? Lots of info online but just wondered if anyone has done it recently?

I asked about a month ago - IIRC: If less than 2 years old, 40% of the price of the crashed helmet as discount off any of their current helmets. (It brought a full price Tactic II down to what I could buy one for on line. And I couldn't find the receipt :-/ )

I've recently had a new crash replacement helmet through Specialized and like tillydog said its 40% off the value of the tactic II that you had (they'll use the £55 RRP) If you replace it like for like then a new one will cost you £33. If you want something more expensive then you'll get £22 off.

I didn't bother emailing them, took the damaged helmet to my local concept store and swapped it there and then, they asked if I had a receipt and I told them I might still have it at home, but they weren't too bothered about seeing it.

Local concept store ordered me one in - 40% off RRP and no receipt required.

Cheers for the help

...no receipt required.

I had assumed it would be, so didn't pursue it. That'll teach me not to jump to conclusions :-/

yep, exactly that.
Called in to Evans this morning as I've found a big crack in my lid.
They told me to call specialized and gave me the number.
I called said company and they told me since about 3 months ago its now all done through retailers. I explained what Evans said and he just sighed and said they have been told about it several times.
I rode to my local concept store, showed him the lid, changed it for a 2016 version and paid the RRP less 40%. No paperwork, no receipt, nothing. In and out in 15 minutes. Excellent.
I asked about the receipt and he said not needed as long as the model is still current and/or the date of manufacture was still on the lid.
🙂

Oh, that's interesting as have a large dent in my cheap-ish Spesh helmet from an off - looks like a pedal dent :0)
