I have the: specialized epic expert world cup 2015 and, no surprises the brain is causing me lots of issues, so I'm keen to replace both forks and rear shock, if this is something you've experienced or know of someone who has, please shout what you bought, links would be greatly appreciated. I know there's a lot of brain debate, but just keen to replace and enjoy riding again.
Cheers
No experience but have you thought about asking someone like TF Tuned what they would recommend? Advice would be free & they are experts in the field of bike suspension.
Their advice may be directed towards selling you what they have but if that proves too expensive it would point you in the right direction to look for used.
That one piece/bonded shock-yoke setup is going to cause some issues unfortunately. Starting with a call to TF Tuned is definitely a good call
Edit: you get some interesting results when search of replacement yokes. If you changed that over you'd have to work out the dimensions of a normal shock (might find the folk supplying the yoke provide this) and off you'd go (hopefully)
AFAIK, the shock will be a proprietary shock specific to the frame, but based on a Fox shock. If the Brain is playing up, it will probably be possible to have it disabled so that it will just function as a regular shock with compression and rebound adjustment. You won't be able to retain the automatic lockout feature if you replace them with anything else.
The shock on the epic has a smaller diameter than normal shocks which may mean that they won't fit in the frame
Probably worth getting in touch with these guys who do replacement yokes for Epics (tho not showing 2015)

It's junk. Bring it along on Thursday evening and I'll swap it for a pint or a nice tandem.
