I've a Blacklite post that needs a rebuild, one of these:

The upper seal head requires a strap wrench to loosen (anticlockwise according to the blurb), but so far I've broken two strap wrenches trying to undo the seal head with no success.

Has anyone else had this problem?

The first time i stripped mine it was tough to undo. Removed all the air?

I had to put some double sided tape on the collar to help with grip.

I do mine up by hand now.

I have the none stealth version and mine was tight. Had to clamp in a vice. I made the error of letting the seal head drop into the grooves where the bushing sits. No way of getting it off then. Had to saw it off very carefully and buy seal and tool to install new seal. £25 mistake I won't make again. Only hand tight for me too.

Often wrap a bit of old tube round then clamp with slip joint grips. They can be a bit tight first time
