Looking for opinions on this or other recommendations for a short travel trail bike.
Basically I've made my Pitch too hardcore for my needs.
( think I'm getting old) lol
Would be looking to change/swap frame and forks if something ticked the boxes.
Looking for something similar.
If you are prepared to buy blind the canyon al or cf are worth a look.
Rose bikes Jabba wood
Giant Trance or Anthem
Yup! I loved mine - just changed from a 26" wheel camber pro to a 2013 29er camber!
Only changing as I have the big wheel bug.
Really great little bike - builds up to a good weight, nice and poppy to ride, and sensibly slack for fun too!
Now have a 2011 Camber Pro frame and shock for sale if you are interested?!
Andy
Pics and info pls to my email In profile cheers.
yup- great bikes - might also be worth looking at the whyte equivalent & the ghost 120mm travel.
There are a lot of good 120mm travel bikes out there.
Will ping some pics across now!

bikescene have a few cheap Camber frames.
Have sent a pretty detailed description and lots of pictures - if they don't arrive as e-mail might be quite large let me know and will send smaller pictures!

Yes, I have one and they're bloody ace.
Mine's a 2011 Pro frame, bought in August last year from Bikescene. I've transplanted all of the components from my 2004 Enduro, which probably gives some idea about the type of riding I do. Basically, I love it. It's pretty light - around and about 27lb with all XT drivetrain and Revelations, it's supremely chuckable and while it certainly isn't in the same league as my Wolf Ridge stiffness wise, it's certainly a good deal stiffer than the Enduro. The pedal response makes it lively, you can easily loft a front wheel and it feels pretty darned fast.
So yes, they're a great bike.
Ive said before ive got th 2012 expert, and can't fault it climbs well, handles the downhill superbly, usually i find faults with my bikes and upgrades but this is still bike shop specced, its a great bike, i can also vouch for the canyon as oh has a nerve xc and thats equally amazing on the trails.
In addition - I built mine up with u-turn sektors, set at 120 for general use but could wind out to 140 if I wanted to have some fun, wide bars and short-ish stem.
Ran it 1x10 with XT and a reverb, and it's the only bike that has come close to my old 2004 specialized SX - the only bike I wish I'd never sold!
Hence decision to buy the 29er Camber - here's hoping its as good as the 26er was/is!
Andy
I have the same bike as LMT and would pretty much back up his comments.
Also, from 2013 the camber is 29er only so you'll have to look around if you want a 26er. Only the 2012 expert gets the M5 frame in 26 flavour if that makes a difference to you.
Bikescene have a very cheap Comp frame and an XL Pro for sale btw.
I didn't really like my Pro tbh. Didn't think it was particularily good at anything, it didn't climb much better than a stumpjumper and it went down worse. Perfectly adequate and a good allrounder but we never really got on. Replaced it with a Ragley Ti which, IMO, ****s on it from a great height.
Still for sale 😉
What was I thinking?
A camber is no better than a Pitch 😯
I will save the pennies for a Bandit or a Santa Cruz Tr
