Thinking about getting one of the alloy models as my do it all trail bike. Is there any reason why I shouldn't - it will be mainly ridden in the Surrey Hills and the Peak District, and occasional Lakes and Alps trips - obviously not full downhill tracks though!

ive got the level entry 29er, the black/red 2013 one and love it. Great at climbing and getting over obstacles. Was lucky as managed to get it in a quick sale at new year for £1200 instead of £1500.

Chap from our local shop can't rate it enough. He's never off it now. Feel sorry for his lovelly 2012 Carbon Enduro though collecting dust. I'd be tempted if I could afford.
