I have stupidly lost a washer-like thing from one of the pivots on my frame during some routine maintenance... 🙁
Seems like the only way to buy a replacement is to buy the full bearing kit for £80 which I don't really want to do... hence wondering if anyone on here has one in their spares box they wouldn't mind parting with? Happy to pay some £ to make it worth your while!
It's from a 2014 Specialized Camber, but I think the part is common to a lot of Specialized bikes from the same era. Photo below:
Sorry, I can't work out how to actually embed the image in my post, it's just coming through as a link....
Monday morning bump for this request...
Try emailing Specialized UK
They have been very helpful in the past with things like this
Thanks for the reply. I tried contacting them via the contact form on the website, and got a reply from ridercare-uk@specialized.com , but they just gave me the part number for the bearing kit and told me it was part of the kit (which costs £80).
Do you have an alternative contact email there I could try?
You can ring them. Always found them helpful and obliging on the phone. However don't know how many they have working in the office with what's going on
Does a bolt fasten down on that top surface, or is it just a cover that push-fits in to a bore? Does it have a recess for that o-ring around the edge?
If it's literally just a cover & has no load going through it (i.e. not screwed into place) I could potentially 3-D print something that would do the job. You'd have to sort your own o-ring (ebay should see you right - they are generally specced on ID & thickness)
I'd need some relatively accurate dimensions from it, so I could model something up & then get it printed.
Give some more details & we can see if it's something that would work.
Wow - thanks for the offer! Much appreciated.
I’m actually sorted now though - I found the bearing kit half price so I bought it, seems a good idea to have them in stock for the future anyway.
Thanks for the replies all.
