Trying to achieve a bit of N-1 by amalgamating my rigid 29er and road bike, I am looking for something that will take a 2" wide tyre, triple road chainset, disc brakes & have rack mounts front and rear. I have already discounted the Surly Straggler & Salsa Marrakesh for various reasons and am erring towards the Marin Four Corners for reasons of price & STW ultimate nicheness 😆 - anyone got one or suggest any other options?

Disc Trucker?
My frame arrived yesterday after a 7 month wait.

Excited?
Lots.

Vagabond looks excellent in the flesh BTW, a lovely thing.

Disc trucker looks good but looks like it might be a bit narrow for 2" tyres

Ah, your right.
Mine's a 26, which should be fine with 2inch tyres and mudguards.

The 700c is limited to 45mm, according to the website at least.

I've got an Awol Comp, it's a fantastic bike. Will take a 2.0" tyre with good clearance, has all the rack and mudguard mounts you could want. The Marins do look very good for the money though, I would have been tempted if they'd been available when I bought the Awol.

Vagabond are out of stock at the distributors unless you want just the frame, which are due in, according to my LBS.

Ideally wanted to go frame only, but Awol & Four Corners tick all the boxes & are pretty cheap complete, I am erring more towards road orientated & Vagabond is only still on the list because it's available frame only 😕

Fargo is another option for full 2"+ tyres, but they're very pricey compared to the others. That Marin looks cracking value, hard to look past that price unless you have a shed full of bits waiting for a frame.

Giant Revolt?

added to list, thanks

Fargo does look v pricey compared with vagabond frameset and I think I prefer the more road orientated Awol & Marin but Sepcialized only do the Elite frame option which is more than the complete Marin
