Want to build up a FS 29er as an XC/Epic/Trail bike. Don't fancy anything mainstream and have ridden and loved a Tallboy but my pockets aren't that deep. Will run a Reba 100mm with QR15.
Spearfish 1 £1199 bolt through rear and Fox RP2 shock 80mm
Rockstar £750 100mm travel Rockshox shock
Could go down to standard Spearfish £895 losing the Fox and bolt through rear. Reckon I can build both around the 27lb mark with XT group which I have. Crests etc
Difficult to demo either of them but happy to take a chance. Charlie has a Spearfish but thats a 350mile round trip
Any experiences/opinions of either? I after a Large frame
