i use some cheapy sports direct muddyfox mtb ones at the mo and also some vans warners that are so heavy they have their own gravity field. ( the muddyfoxes save me circa over 0.7kilo over the vans! i bought then as a weight saving excercise for doing the sdw in a day)

my muddyfoxes have been brill for a year or 2 but the soles are basically pastic. however they grip my mallets nicely tho if i miss a clip.

my vans, while looking cooler, are actually a bit shit if i miss a clip but are generally easier to clip in/out. they are also a bit trashed.

i think i`d quite like a shoe with the styling of a vans but with teh weight and non-clipped in grip of the disco slipper. i'd quite like less mesh and less water ingress routes if possible.

i had a look on CRC but to be honest nothing tickles my fancy - i`m not really sure what i want?- so what have you been using and are they ok?

cheers, mark
