I want to run a single front narrow wide ring but will need to space if I want a 32t due to chainring tabs not giving the required clearance. Anyone got any experience / advice on the size spacers I need? Other option is a Raceface 30t which has integrated spacers but am thinking the 32t may be better with a 11-36 cassette.
I've no idea what a narrow wide chainring is, but I had some brass washers machined up to run a single ring with normal chainring bolts. I have some spare if they might achieve what your after. Drop us an email.
Thanks but I reckon they'll be too thick. Spacers are easy enough to come by, it just the size I am not sure of. I am thinking possibly 1.2 mm but not 100% sure.
EDIT: (removed additional (now pointless) content from simultaneous posting).
VeloSolo do a BB spacer kit which includes a range of thicknesses, including 1mm (as far as I can recall).
Curiously ... their website is not resolving right now ... but it's normally available here, I've used them for ages for assorted spacers / shims and the like, and they have always been great (so I hope it is just a temporary website outage 😐 ).
Wheels Manufacturing do a range from 0.6mm to 3.8mm, available from Madison via your LBS (listed as chainring spacer).
Put hanks for the replies. Just to be clear iits the chainring that needs spacing not the BB. It's the size I need, I can get the spacers on eBay, it's confirmation of what size I need that I am after.
The first word should obviously read Thanks!
