Anyone on here ride one, steel or titanium. I fancy something for long distance(ish) road rides, and I'm starting to think comfort is my number one priority as opposed to anything else.
Any thoughts?
Not personally but a mate of mine has a ti one. He rates it very highly. I did a 120 mile ride with him last year when he had a bad back, he was walking like a little old man, but quite happily pedalled along with the rest of us for 8-9 hours without a grumble, so it must be pretty comfy.
The ti is plain gauge and according to their site not much lighter than the steel version. I looked at them before I went for a cross check a couple of years ago. Comfiest steel bike I have ever owned was a genesis equilibrium. Comfiest ti is the Enigma Esprit I will be using till it snaps. Fit and reach etc contribute at least as much to comfort as how posh a pipe from the plumbers merchant it is made from.
