I think you need a bike with 26" wheels to do well in the Southern XC don't you?

I've never done Mud Sweat & Gears but the Southern XC's are usually really well organised events and great courses.

Of course. Wouldn't be the ideal choice, but you'd be fine.

Southerns are reverting to each round being organised by an individual club next year, there are some old venues coming back and some new ones too I believe.

Not done a MSG, but Southerns are excellent events.
