I know about the Gap Road and Black Mountains Gwyrne Fawr reservoir route
any other goodies out there?
thanks
There is one back of Blwch - https://www.strava.com/activities/2399096080 - if you can include the detour on the hill on the west side of Blwch, it's a good one too but climb might be a bit overgrown.
Since we're here, which way would people recommended for the gwyne fawr loop? Clockwise or anti?
clockwise just for the last descent down Crug Mawr but i bet if we do a poll clockwise or anti-clockwise, it will be 50/50
thanks gilles. I don't have strava summit so can't download that route. Could you please email?

Click create route, save it, then export. Bingo. Or get the chrome extension.
I did the Bwlch - Allt yr Esgair - Mynydd Troed route last week. All of the bridleways at lower levels are very overgrown, to the point that you couldn't see what you were riding over. It was good fun, but much better ridden in the off-season. My shins were tingling hot with nettle stings for about a day post-ride.
For some idea of other routes in the Beacons check-out this Komoot page - some might be cheeky however (these are not my routes, although the route referred to above is similar to route 5 in the list). Alternatively Nick Cotton's viewranger page. Apparently after leaving Albert Square he wrote a guidebook to parts of S. Wales. I can't vouch for any of the routes.
There are of course lots of other routes. Bike shops in Abergavenny, Hay or Brecon could set you straight.
Looking for about a 4 hour off road ride in South Wales/Brecons for next Saturday. Anyone got a gpx or recommend a ride?
