Has anyone done a route from south of London to Brighton before?

Looking for tips on starting places so that a mate can jump on the train at Brighton to join us somewhere convenient to set of, maybe near the M25 for me driving from Essex and another bod travelling from Brixton.

Are there any good of road routes/sections?

Much appreciated.

I have a PDF of a route (sent to me by Pyschie). I think it might be the BHF one. My email is in my profile.

I used it as the basis of a slightly different one that went over the North Downs before linking with the Downs Link, as we wanted some hills and something interesting to ride.

We started in Richmond heading along the Thames then turned south over the Downs. We bivvied on the South Downs close to Brighton and then rode to Eastbourne the next day. It came in as 110 miles in the end for the two days.

I've got a googlemap of it somewhere if you want.

I did thid route on tuesday as a 105 mile loop. follow the easterly leg for a nice ride through the lanes past reigate, across the weald then up over ditchling and dropping into Brighton.
