Not the Gap, done that loads and it's not technical.  Something with a bit of tech or singletrack, or a nice big mountain descent.  3-4hrs ish.  Not a bike park Barry Sidings/Wyllie type thing either.

Also - what's going on in Crychan Forest near Llandovery?  Loads of riding showing up on Strava heat map.

Seems to be a revitalisation of the old enduro tracks in Crychan. Last time I rode there I was on a 26er!!

Happy to show you around some of the better "off piste" stuff in the Blacks or central beacons. The latter best done mid week though.

Locals have just kept building in Crychan since the Enduros of a few years ago I think, not been for a while but was steepish and slidey.

Lots of ways off the tops near Welshfarmer, but not been up there much either recently, torn and retorn calf muscle 🙄. Got a track I want to try into Olchon.

"Got a track I want to try into Olchon"

which one? I can probably tell you if its' worth bothering with

Here is one of our little local loops I filmed last autumn (apologies it is not HD but it took about 24 hours to upload as it was!)

Liked the look of that first trail!
I'm thinking of the one off to your right on Cats back alongside Olchon Brook, remember a lot of rocky slabs and drops after pushing back up it to Offas Dyke after going down Cats back.

So the proper bridleway down the Olchon. Used to be a regular way down. Usually go up it now though. Bit rocky in the middle with a quite nasty drop off which would be easy to mess up. Followed by flat out grassy run with a few undercut steps. Used to love it back in the day.

If you go up that way, which way are you going down?
