Can't be that hard can it?
It just seemed like a logical projection from the triple that Richard Sterry did, and as its only another 100 miles, I thought I'd knock myself into shape and have a bash. All I need to do is stay awake for 50+ hours and ride my bike.

That is nuts. Did one way last year and that hurt. Have fun!

Sterry was still feeling the aftereffects months later. That long on a bike is a big step up over the double, let alone again. Surely there are more interesting challenges too if you must do 400 miles? Something like the ht550?

That sounded grumpier than I intended it to. If you really want to do it, good on you! Have you done the double? I'd start with that first....

Did a mini double (missed the QECP to Winchester leg) 3 years back when I was messing and had a day off work.
I'm doing this route because it's on my doorstep and a whole lot freer than the Tour Divide.

With more climbing per mile.

And I like going up hills!
