I'm lucky enough to have a bike packing specific bike, not so lucky to have excessively worn GOnes on it mind..

It's a 29r is the answers Mezcals? Just want to poll before I'm relieved of the thick end of 100 earth pounds

Kin'hell, the price of tyres!

I'll throw out Specialized for better value and good performance. Not sure what width you're after. Fast Trak is a good option though. New models £40 an end (2.35), or look for the recently redundant models (£28 at Cyclestore for the 2.2). In my experience, great tyres at good prices. Or for something more gravelly, they've just come out with Tracer (light tread) and Terra (chunkier tread) up to 700x50.

What's your Road to Gnarr ratio?

I have found GravelkingSK  to be a good general tyre on 'true' gravel and road.

Looking at Pirelli Cintuarto M for my next set as I am going a bit more mtb.

Mezcals ,choice of the Tour Divide 😉

2.1 Mezcals on mine. Hard to fault them really, although occasionally change for 2.4 Ardent Race for rockier stuff. The other advantage of the Mezcals, for me, is that I can have full length mudguards on too 🙂

Had the G-One Allrounds on the gravel bike - I thought they were OK until I went for Terra Speeds.

Less draggy on the road and a bit more comfortable. Seem about the same (to me) on gravel. Not sure about mud. They come up a bit narrow compared to the G-Ones.

Great if you're doing over 40% road - makes a difference.

I'm limited by 650b wheels, 40c width - tons of other options out there for normal people.

@Oms I think that's the issue, the options seem endless.

I had thought about UltraBites or maybe Racing Rays.

Mezcals seem to be the goto at the moment. Ah procrastination...

I’ve recently put some G-One Ultrabites in 45mm width on my gravel bike. Only ridden it in the dry so far but I do like them. Loads of grip and rolled well.

I use my gravel bike for all sorts of riding.  50 mile mostly road rides to the sort of stuff on Cannock Chase that you should really be on a proper mountain bike but it's a whole different kind of fun on the Diverge.  The tyres are so good (18 months of it being my main bike) that I've never given them any thought except to pump them up a lot more than usual if it's a long road ride (and then forget to let them down the next time).

In fact I notice them so little that I had to go and check.  They're Specialized Tracer Pro and I'd probably replace them with the same if they wear out.

I've heard they actually roll better than the all-rounds. I wanted a set, but couldn't get any in the size I wanted at the time. 👍

My egravel came with 40mm Nanos of some variety, only done ~4.5 hours so far, but I think my 35/40mm Marathon Supremes will be fitted soon because most of my riding will be rough tarmac lanes and I swear I can feel the extra rolling resistance of the Nanos.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I so wish I'd bought a set of 50mm Supremes when I bought the others, I'd expect them to measure ~45mm in the real world and easily fit on the Bolt.

Bikeinn have 29 Mezcals pretty cheap (for Mezcals) as well. Don't know how big you want, but Peyote also worth considering for a faster centre tread.
