Here's our latest rebuild. 1930's BSA M20

This motor and gearbox was found in a river! And it had been there for some time....

This is how it arrived...

[img] [/img]

The motor was seized solid. The internals full of mud and river creatures! To get the barrel off we ended up having to cit through the piston!

[img] [/img]

But, after much hard work we have rescued it. Which is nice because you just can't get these anymore. The owner is very hapy with it. I just hope it doesn't end up in a river again...

I've always wanted one of these if only for the fact that they sound like an RD350.

A local guy has one that he bought in a cardboard box when he was a teenager. Took him a few years to rebuild it but it looks and sounds fantastic now.
The one in my picture was a little bit tatty but the owner was planning on spending a bit more time on it to finish it off.

Built for comfort and the noise it makes, rather than speed.

Such a shame he never managed to get that elusive world championship. Desertmartin 2006 when he beat Everts in the sand was just such an incredible feat.
