Am coming back to the Ramsbottom area on Friday evening and have Saturday afternoon and most of Sunday set aside for riding.
Was planning on riding from Stacksteads back to Helmshore via Lee and Cragg in Saturday, then heading to the Peaks on Sunday.
THEN ... I checked the weather forecast...

a) do people think it really will be as bad as predicted? Several inches of rain!
b) what routes will be rideable in the peak on Sunday. It's been a while since I last rode in that area so any gpx style help would be great.

Thus should I
c) bring goretex
d) just accept I'm a soft southern pansie and leave the bike at home...
e) not come North at all and just session Barry Knows Best (like all northerners think all southerners do!)

Ta!

If it is windy anywhere it will be windy as **** up Lee & Cragg.
Personnally I would say it is not the w/e for an open hills ride.

You could do Gisburn, still going to be very weathery but at least there are trees to hide behind. It will have changed alot if you have not been for a few years.

Peaks - everything will still be there - just a tad windy & wet.
