Been offered a signal ti frame. My current hardtail would be the donor bike but it's 650 wheels and forks, forks are 120mm recons.
Would it all work or be a bit rubbish to ride. Not got funds for new wheels and forks at present

Might be OK if you can stretch to a set of 2.6 tyres to lift the BB a bit, and if your cranks aren't too long for the low BB, the shorter forks will steepen things a bit, maybe a travel increase would help.
wont fit with anything except the skinniest tyres. the chainstay curves/widens around the 29 tyre. if the tyre is a smaller diameter it will clash with cs
Sell the wheels and fork from the current bike and buy 29er versions?
Sadly looking like a non starter, thanks for info

You’ll get 2.3 ish tyres in there, as I do use my ‘winter’ 650 wheels with mud tyres on just fine. 2.3 shorty’s. The stays do narrow a fair bit, but it fits.
Sell your other bike in full, or as a rolling chassis, and use the funds for 29er bits?
Just a word about the idea of selling the 650b bits… be prepared for disappointment in the prices if you choose to.
They are shockingly low these days.

Yes, this was my experience recently on selling an OnOne 45650b. No interest in ages for the full bike, and then took several weeks to sell the parts when I decided to split it. Made a reasonable return in the end, but there's a lot of 27.5 stuff out there and demand seems to be for 29ers.
