Like to think I’m reasonably competent at maintenance but have been trying to help a friend with very poorly/noisy bearings and I’m stumped.
Rear hub - have removed axle and outer bearings both sides and then taken out the push in rubber seal from the freehub body but absolutely no idea how to remove freehub itself. Anyone any experience of servicing these?
Thanks.
Freehub removal requires a 14mm Allen key to unscrew it.
Best I could tell, its non serviceable.
Thanks - did see some vague shape on the non-drive side but my 10/12mm Allen keys didn’t go near it.
Out of interest, assume the replacement is a standard affair readily available or will we have to go to Alpkit?
To be honest, I was so unimpressed with how quickly it wore out and the overall quality of the wheel that I didn't bother and bought some hope fortus instead.
