Has anyone spent much time with either? Both look great value and a similar spec. I'm concerned about the Sonder in house wheels perhaps feeling really heavy and sluggish?

Any real world opinions?

Haven't tried the sonder but had a quick blast on a longitude before ordering one after asking on here how people found them and all of the good comments were true hopefully have it this week so I can give it a good run

Not tried either but the in house wheels are sold separately by sonder so would imagine they're of a reasonable quality?

Haven't tried the Sonder, but have had a Longitude since April and I absolutely love it. Have posted about it in a couple of other threads, but in short it's the best bike I've ever owned! As a bikepacking/dirt touring bike is nigh on perfect, but also really fun unloaded on trails.

I've got a 2016 and I wouldn't let the alu fork put you off. I've ridden a few steel forked rigid bikes and the 16 Longitude rides as well. Bit more versatile with tapered Ht too.

Wheels, the rear is cup and cone and from new wasn't the smoothest. Sounded quite rough but having stripped and regreassed no real difference. Still going fine but cheap and heavy imo. Not that should put you off, still a great bike.

I've got a 2016 longitude built from the frameset rather than the whole bike. Have got the alpkit wheels on as they were by far the best price b+available at the time. It's a great bike. It's just as happy bike packing as it is on our weekly blast around the woods. Alpkit wheels seem fine so far. Not the lightest I'm sure but work they do. Thought the rear bearings had gone but turned out the end cap just needed tightening.
