Had a Cortex frame built up since February and done 170 miles on it in pretty good weather conditions. Think I have only washed it a couple of times. Anyway, been getting more and more creak on rides recently til today I finally decided to take a closer look. Every one of the pivot bearings for the shock and main axle were seized. I could accept one or two in the slop zones maybe, but every one of them...? They seem to be the most bog standard bearings available but still a new set is going to cost £35 from a bearing shop online, or £50 to upgrade to the max versions. Anyone else had the same, or know what Alpkit are like when it comes to stuff like this? £35 every 150 miles is 21p a mile in bearing wear!
No I haven't jet washed it.

Have a Sonder Evol for just over a couple of years now and not had the problem you’ve described. It has been on some proper wet and muddy rides round the Yorkshire Dales.

I did break one of the pivot bolts whilst trying to do some maintenance. One quick email to their customer service people and they sent me a new one out with no charge. So their customer service is good in my experience.

I've had my Cortex since September and ridden it loads and apart from an issue with the linkage which has been swiftly sorted out by Alpkit it's been a joy to own. The bearings are all fine still as I had it apart a little while back just to check.
